I was born in the UK in 1982 and grew up with a keen interest in computers. I learnt my trade as a web developer for various companies and eventually became a freelance software developer. When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I decided to move in with her to provide care and support. In doing so, I was able to learn new skills related to caring for someone with that condition. It became clear that even in the face of a severe illness like Alzheimer's, it is important to keep the brain active. In my free time, I still enjoy computer programming, but also like reading and cooking.
