Pip pip, tally ho! Joolz Guides here, in which I wander around London telling you fascinating facts. But wait! I do more than that! I've been making award-winning tourism films for 15 years whilst appearing on TV in America, Japan, Croatia, Serbia and of course Britain! (Who could forget my amazing appearance on Blind Date!? Or talking about the Clapham Deep Shelters on Walking Wartime Britain!) I graduated from Manchester University with a degree in philosophy but my heart was always in performance, so after various appearances in TV shows, ads and audio books, I decided to build my own dreams before someone hired me to build theirs! After the success of my film Take Me To Pitcairn in which I recreated the voyages of the Bounty mutineers of 1789 (it won several awards and has almost 2 million views on Youtube), I decided to concentrate on documenting every corner of London, and it's going well! I seem to have become the most well-known and recognisable London guide on youtube and am on a continuing quest to leave no stone unturned, no cucumber sandwich unbuttered. People often ask what my favourite video is. Very hard to say but I had a wonderful time with Charlie Chaplin's grandchildren wandering around the areas where Chaplin grew up in poverty. They were great fun. I also loved Deptford! It's often the places further out and less well-trodden that I enjoy the most. There is history around every corner which is why I decided to write a book in which I've chosen 20 walks (don't worry, there'll be more!). Take Tottenham for example. What a great day we had discovering bells stolen from the Canadian garrison, the namer of clouds and London's first Ghanaian bakery amongst many other things!
