Larry Hatch is an American Horticultural Taxonomist specializing in ornamental plants and the history of cultivars in gardens. He is also a fiction writer specializing in westerns and historical fiction, especially 18th and 19th century settings. Educated at Cornell University (B.S.) and North Carolina State University (M.S), he has written over 12 books on gardening and plants. His other hobbies reflecting in the books are beer reviews, diecast car collecting, and sports cards.
