Sara Sobota

Sara Sobota has lived in the Myrtle Beach area for 22 years, and her writing career has steadily evolved and broadened in scope during that time. Her writing interests range from travel, displayed in pieces that have appeared in US Airways Magazine and Agent@Home; to lifestyle and arts, reflective in articles published in Grand Strand Magazine; to parenting and academia, evidenced in blog posts on The Huffington Post. Her travel writing has brought her to Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Turks and Caicos, though often her favorite pieces focus on her home area of the Grand Strand. Lifestyle articles have led her to interview such personalities as Darius Rucker, Edwin McCain, Branford Marsalis, Paul Stanley, Chubby Checker, and Vanna White. Parenting articles spring from domestic adventures with her three boys, and reflections on the college classroom come straight from her work as a lecturer of English at Coastal Carolina University, where she has been employed for 11 years.
