Silvia Pettem is a Colorado-based historical researcher, newspaper columnist, writer and author. After local history research led to the identification of a decades-old murder victim, Pettem switched from writing about history to the genre of true crime –– allowing her to combine her interest in history with a passion for cases that involve missing persons and unidentified remains. In 2010, Silvia became a Medal of Honor recipient of the Vidocq Society and is honored to be among its members. Her books related to cold case investigations include "Cold Case Research: Resources for Unidentified, Missing and Cold Homicide Cases" (2013), "The Long Term Missing: Hope and Help for Families" (2017), and "Cold Case Chronicles: Mysteries, Murders & the Missing" (2021). Just released is SOMEONE’S DAUGHTER: IN SEARCH OF JUSTICE FOR JANE DOE, UPDATED EDITION (2023). Soon to come will be IN SEARCH OF THE BLONDE TIGRESS: THE UNTOLD STORY OF ELEANOR JARMAN (2023). Silvia can be reached through her website, www.silviapettem.com.
