Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. I was born in Laos and moved to Thailand at the age of 6. I lived at the refugee camp in Thailand with my family for about six years before moving to the US. It was during those years at the refugee camp that I learned how to make Hmong embroidery cloths (Hmoob Paj Ntaub). I used many of my original Hmong Art images to create the covers for my low content books. Currently, I am a first grade teacher. I have been an elementary school teacher for over twenty years. I love teaching phonics and seeing students grow from learning their letter names and sounds to reading passages by the end of the school year! It's amazing to witness such transformation in the classroom! I am also passionate about sharing and preserving my culture and language. I have published several Hmong children's books: Kuv Pog, Peb Mus Ua Si, Cov Khoom Siv Hauv Tsev, Kawm Nyeem thiab Sau Ntawv Hmoob, Hmong Flower Cloth Coloring Book, and The Four Pandas. I believe creativity and focus come from the positive energy we cultivate within us. So I decided to create notebooks that merge my love of Hmong Art with inspirational words. Being able to share something authentic from my heart such as my hand embroidery patterns and positive words is a dream come true for me. My goal is to sprinkle joy wherever life takes me. By sharing my books and resources, I hope I can help shine on light on the beauty of cultural diversity in our community and our world.
