My writer's biography begins with my handing a poem I wrote to my mother when I was eight years old. "My, you ARE a writer," she said. And so it was. Throughout my growing up years I never missed an opportunity to write--editing my high school yearbook, writing newsletters for organizations, submitting articles to magazines, entering contests, etc. My first "real job" as a writer was with a PR agency writing new product releases. I later worked for Current, Inc., for over 16 years during which time I wrote over 2,000 greeting cards and 20 children's books. In 1995 I launched my freelance writing business, providing product and advertising copy for social expression companies and writing "books for hire" for publishers. In 1998 I contracted my first book as an independent author, SIMPLY THE SAVIOR. THE JOURNEY OF ELISA and IT TAKES A HOME followed in 2000, and I co-authored RECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES with my friend Alice Scott-Ferguson in 2006. Shifting my focus to older adults and those who care for them, I authored THE HOPE OF GLORY in 2014 and TAKE MY HAND AGAIN in 2015. My latest book, THE HOPE OF GLORY, Volume Two, came out in 2022. Although I had an agent once, my assignments for books have all come through the inspiration and direction of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Whether I write more books is all up to Him! I live in Colorado Springs, CO, with my husband, Jim, and office cat, Annie. We have four married children, 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandsons in our blended family.
