Rick Schmidt

RICK SCHMIDT is an American independent filmmaker, with 26 low/no-budget features to his credit. He is author of the seminal how-to, “Feature Filmmaking at Used-Car Prices” (Viking Penguin Books, 1988, 1995, 2000), regarded as the 'low-budget bible' by MOVIEMAKER magazine, which has called Schmidt, "the guru of choice for many of today's top indie moviemakers." LIBRARY JOURNAL says that Schmidt's book has helped filmmakers "to shun Hollywood and go it alone." VIN DIESEL adds, "He super-empowered me. The book changed my life."
