Philip Hayward

I am editor of the online journal Shima which covers aspects of island and maritime cultures. I live between Manly and Byron Bay (both in Australia) and have adjunct professor positions at University of Technology Sydney and at Southern Cross University (Lismore). I have written widely on island and maritime cultures and on aspects of audiovisual media and on contemporary music. When I am not writing or researching I work on rainforest restoration in far north New South Wales.
