Jill Amadio is a novelist, crime writer, and biographer. She was a reporter in Europe, South-East Asia, and North and South America before residing in Connecticut where she worked for the Connecticut Sunday Herald, Gannett Newspapers in New York, then lived in California working for Entrepreneur magazine. She began her newspaper career with the Sunday Dispatch/Daily Mail in London, UK and has written for the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine, Air Classics, Motor Trend, Newsweek, Conde Nast, Bentley Magazine, and other publications, She writes a blog for The Writers in Residence. A memoirist, Jill Amadio has co-authored/ghostwritten 17 biographies, including for a U.S. ambassador; a nuclear physicist; a Hollywood star; an oil baron, and others. Her authorship of a World War II fighter ace continues as a best-seller in 12 countries and was on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Her latest memoir is "Virginia Bader. A Collage of Memories of the First Lady of Aviation Art." Jill Amadio writes a mystery series set in Newport Beach, CA, featuring Tosca Trevant, a Brit reporter who discovered a scandal at Buckingham Palace and was rudely hustled out of England to America. When digging up weeds in a neighbor's garden she unearths more than she bargained for. One of Amadio's short stories, "Farang," is set in Thailand where she was a reporter for the Bangkok Post. Originally from Cornwall, UK, she was educated in England, atttended Rugby Hall boarding school; the University of Portsmouth, and the University of Madrid, Spain.
