Ms. Zilka is the Founder and Principal Advisor at NexGen Advisors, a global business restructuring and transformation firm supporting projects for clients including private equity firms and CEOs of large, well-established organizations. Previously, Ms. Zilka worked at Towers Perrin, a global management consulting firm, where she was the Practice Leader for Restructuring & Talent Management, focusing on various strategic initiatives including restructuring, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), change management, performance management and organizational design. Clients included American Express, J&J, Xerox, Cardinal Health and VNS. Prior to joining Towers Perrin, Ms. Zilka was with General Electric in various management roles, the most recent being Vice President of Growth for GE Consumer Finance, where she was responsible for leading large-scale M&A deals, including Integration and Talent Assessment/Succession. She also worked at GE Corporate headquarters as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Manager of Human Resources, supporting the Chief Information Officer's organization, including sourcing, information technology and Six Sigma. Ms. Zilka has worked with many companies prior to GE as an independent consultant to help build organizations and improve businesses including Deutsche Bank, GE Capital, Patek Philippe, WWF and Christie's. She began her career on Wall Street working for Shearson Lehman Brothers as a institutional sales broker for Fortune 1000 companies. Ms. Zilka's first book, "Business Restructuring: An Action Template for Reducing Cost and Growing Profit" published by John Wiley & Sons, was released Oct. 19 and is available in book stores and online now. Ms. Zilka sits on the Board of Directors of the American Humane Association, which has been protecting children and animals since 1877. She is also on the Board of the Avant Dance Company, a nonprofit organization focused on helping inner city children.
