Kelly Coyne

Kelly Coyne and her husband Erik Knutzen are co-authors of The Urban Homestead: Self-Sufficient Living in the City, which the New York Times called "the contemporary bible on the subject" and the upcoming Making It: Radical Home-Ec for a Post-Consumer World (Rodale, 2011). They are also the proprietors of the popular blog, www.rootsimple.com. Kelly and Erik live in a small house on a small piece of land in the heart of Los Angeles, where they garden, teach, bike, brew and occassionally, chase the chickens around.
