Rob Ellis is the author of The Soccer Coach's Toolkit. He spent 7 years writing the book whilst he created and road-tested each activity on players from grass-roots to professional level. Rob is a highly qualified sports professional with a 1st class honours degree in Sport Sciences, 12 years of teaching Physical Education and over 20 years of soccer coaching experience. Rob currently juggles his writing career with coaching soccer for a Premier League club and teaching secondary school PE. He is a sports fanatic with a great insight into sports performance and coaching. Rob is based in London and travels as much as possible in search of inspiration from different countries, cultures and approaches to develop his coaching. Rob writes from the perspective of the coach and helps his readers to overcome practical coaching issues. His writing offers inspirational ideas and an insight into high quality sports coaching and player performance. Rob developed a strong interest in sociology and philosophy at University and hopes to expand his writing into how sport, philosophy and sociology can help us to better understand the complexity of life and human nature.
