Melissa Higgins writes nonfiction and fiction (under the name M.G. Higgins) for children and young adults. Her over fifty nonfiction titles range from science and technology to history and biographies. Before becoming a full-time writer, Melissa worked as a school counselor and mental-health counselor. When not writing, she enjoys hiking and taking photographs in the Arizona desert where she lives with her husband.
