Hudson is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, with degrees in History and Information/Library Studies, Marilyn A. Hudson has been a public library, school library, and academic library professional. Along the way, she also learned to tell stories as a professional storyteller and began publishing tales of history and her imagination.
As a storyteller she specializes in haunting tales in the persona of The Ghost Teller. She has been a featured performer at such venues as the Overholser Mansion, Lawton Community Theater, Paracon, Tejas Storytelling Festival, Oklahoma City Storytelling Festival, Spirit of Oklahoma Storytelling Festival and many libraries and schools.

Since then she had finished SOONER SAUCERS: 2 (2023) , UFOs OVER OKLAHOMA: A Guide to Route 66, and two monographs about 1947: Those Saucy Saucers and 1965: Summer of the Saucers.
