Heather Kirn Lanier

Heather Lanier is the author of the poetry collection, PSALMS OF UNKNOWING (Monkfish 2023) along with the memoir, RAISING A RARE GIRL (Penguin Press, 2022), a New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice and a Malcolm Gladwell Next Big Idea Nominee. Writing at the intersections of feminism, motherhood, and spirituality, her work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, Longreads, The Sun, TIME, McSweeney's, and elsewhere. She works as an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Rowan University, and her TED Talk has been viewed three million times and translated into 18 languages.
