She continued to write; publishing articles in newspapers, magazines, and on the Internet. She published her first novel in 2015. She moved to Allen, Texas in May, 2016 where she published her Wise Acres Cozy 2-book Mystery Series, The books, "The Mahjong Murder Club" and "A Casino, Cash, and a Body" are available here on Amazon and on Kindle.
After surviving a life-threatening medical event in the early fall, 2019, Janie was inspired to write a memoir called "Do You Have All Your Parts?"
