Deborah Pruitt's innovative solution to building powerful collaboration in groups, called the Formula for Group Alchemy® is a product of more than twenty years studying culture while helping organizations improve their performance to expand their results and broaden their impact in the world. Gleaned from her research and practice, her book Group Alchemy: The Six Elements of Highly Successful Collaboration she describes the cultural habits that support inspired cooperation, generate clarity and efficiency and provide the fuel to sustain ongoing improvements and expanding success. Her unique background as an anthropologist combined with twenty years of organizational development consulting as well as an early career in sales and business administration means that she is able to connect profound insights into group dynamics and organizational culture with practical and accessible strategies for creating sustainable success. She earned her masters and doctorate degrees in anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley. She has taught anthropology courses at numerous colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently serves as a faculty advisor at the Western Institute for Social Research.
