After a 12-year career in law enforcement, Jeff Crippen began a second career as a pastor in 1983, pastoring churches in Montana and Alaska. He has been the pastor of Christ Reformation Church in Tillamook, Oregon, since 1993. Through a series of difficult situations in churches, he realized he needed to know much more about abuse and abusers. His first book, A Cry for Justice (2012), emerged from these experiences. His second book, Unholy Charade (2015), as well as the blog www.unholycharade.com, enlarges and expands on these truths with real-life testimonies from his website and others who have come to him since the publication of his first book.
Note: Though Jeff Crippen founded the blog A Cry for Justice in 2012 to bring awareness to his book by the same title, he is now no longer affiliated in any way with the A Cry For Justice (ACFJ) blog. His two blogs are www.unholycharade.com and www.lightfordarktimes.com
Jeff aims to expose unholy charlatans, those abusers parading as holy saints and hiding in the local church, for what they are, and to believe and validate victims, helping them to understand what is happening to them, to identify the false, unbiblical counsel they are receiving, and point them to the freedom that is theirs in Christ.
Jeff has been married for over 40 years to his wonderful wife Verla. They live in the Pacific Northwest amid forests, rivers, the Pacific Ocean, and rain, rain rain!
