Barbara Ali is a native of Illinois, but spent the bulk of her adult life traveling the world as she served a career with the US Air Force. She is an avid photographer, world traveler, adventurer, and mom. She and her husband, Abdulhamid, live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where they have a "yours, mine, and ours" family of six children.
Her children, especially Omar who was born with Down syndrome, are her inspiration for creating a meaningful life. All of them enjoy travel, meeting people, and experiencing new things. This has made her realize the importance of being present and enjoying life. Together they create new adventures every day.
