Nicholas Tana is an award-winning writer, director, producer, and musician.
His style includes a love of writing for comics. Tana is the writer of the horror-comedy comic books "Hell’s Kitty" and "Lost Angel in Los Angeles", which was based on the award-winning web series that he wrote. He later wrote and adapted “Hell's Kitty” as both a feature film and a musical. Tana's sci-fi noir graphic novel, "eJUNKY", is set for publication by Scout Comics and Simon and Schuster in 2023.
Tana's interests as a writer extend to children's fiction. He is the author of "Monsters Are Afraid of Babies", "The Kitten, The Cat, and The Apple", "The Kingdom of Glee", and "The Little Lion That Listened". Tana's original story, “Snow White and The Wishing Well" appears in Disney's 5 Minute Easter Stories.
As a playwright, Nicholas Tana has won the Short & NEAT One Act Play Festival in 2000, and The Arts in The Park award in 2002. He has worked as a contributing writer for the fashion magazine 944 and the movie and entertainment magazine Moving Pictures.
Nicholas' ability as a writer extends to songwriting as well. His songs have appeared in both his personal works and various commercial projects. Nicholas has over a dozen songs available on Amazon under the title “Tana: Essential Vibe Collection” and his 2022 album "Hope Punk".
As a former associate director for ESPN, Tana left to start his own production company, Smart Media, for which he wrote, produced, and directed the Amazon award-winning documentary “Sticky: A (Self) Love Story”. He is currently writing and directing numerous music videos as well as producing a documentary on animal rights called "We Are Animals".
