Sam Sommer, born in New Haven Connecticut, was always fascinated with the way words impact the thought process, and as such, he studied marketing in graduate school, earning an MBA. His undergraduate degree in horticulture from the University of Connecticut College of Agriculture and Natural Resources paved the way for a lifelong interest in plants.
