An avid reader since childhood, I used to wake up in the morning to read before going to school. The books that grew my love for reading were the Black Stallion books by Walter Farley. My daydreams leaned toward finding myself stranded on a desert island with a black stallion only I could ride. Those daydreams helped me make it through what I considered the drudgery of school. Currently, I am living my lifelong dream on a 50-acre farm in Ontario, Canada. Living on a farm has proven to be time consuming, especially since a friend gave me two baby goats as a farm-warming gift and I continued to add to my herd. Eventually, my herd of 12 goats aged and died, but they left me with a true love and appreciation for goats. Currently, I have a Welsh pony, mini horse, 2 dogs and 5 cats, and 2 guinea pigs. I would love goats again one day, but am focusing on my writing for now. My husband runs a traditional archery range and store on our farm, while I spend my time writing, designing book covers for authors worldwide, and spending time with my animals.
