While growing up in a small town, Alec Gould enjoyed reading Samuel Clemens and Edgar Allan Poe. In elementary school he began writing stories, continuing until high school at which time he pursued music. Adulthood found him once again writing, this time a column for a magazine which segued into writing books. He enjoys "pioneering": gardening, canning, home cooking, while enjoying life's simple -but important- gifts: Laughter, friendship and love. When not writing, Alec enjoys playing the saxophone in local bands, motorcycling, metal detecting and being out in nature.
