Ann Jacobus earned an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a BA from Dartmouth College. At age six she took tap-dancing lessons and sang off-key in musicals as a teen. She's lived in many US states and three foreign countries, and enjoys swimming and sailing when she's not reading, writing, or teaching. A former crisis-line counselor at San Francisco Suicide Prevention and a mental health advocate, she speaks about mental health and writing to all ages. She believes the world runs on stories.
