Samantha R. E. Gottlich

Samantha Gottlich was born and raised in South Texas with an eclectic upbringing. She rode horses, played tennis and golf, often enjoyed hunting and fishing in the south Texas wilderness, and was an active member of her Venture Crew. Her passions in school centered around math and science, but she was a voracious reader and avid writer with an active imagination. Her life in the church and enduring hope for the world led her to seminary after working in the secular world as a faculty member and tennis coach in her early career. She graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2017 with a Master in Divinity and now resides in Texas where she is active in ordained ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. She currently serves as Curate at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Houston. She is passionate about loving and leading people in authentic and joyful ways, whether it is through writing and teaching or ping pong and board games. And she always prefers dark chocolate (or even better, Reese's cups!) on her s'mores.
