Eleanor Ford writes about food with a sense of place. Her latest book is A Whisper of Cardamom which will be published February 2024, a sweetly spiced companion book to The Nutmeg Trail. The Nutmeg Trail, published in 2022, has won and been shortlisted for a variety of international awards including winning best ‘International or Regional Cookbook’ at The Guild of Food Writers Awards 2023, and two Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2023. Fire Islands, published in 2019, won the Guild of Food Writers Award for best 'International or Regional Cookbook' 2020, the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Award for best Food or Drink Book 2020, and two Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2020. Her first book, Samarkand, was co-authored with Caroline Eden. It won the Guild of Food Writers Award for 'Food and Travel' in 2017.
