Mark Hallett

My lifelong journey as a naturalist, artist and author has always been grounded in a fascination for the Earth’s life forms, their past and present relationships to one another and how their structures and behaviors evolved. Among other things this includes the sauropod dinosaurs, and the unanswered questions and mysteries that relate to them led to the years of investigation that finally resulted in our book. The life that I share with my wife Turi and our animals on our wildlife sanctuary and farm in western Oregon provides me with constant inspiration and thought. A goal for my future projects is to continue to share this with others through my art and writing, and that in learning about our planet’s past and present they will also be inspired to help to save its living creatures and ecosystems.
