KATIE BLACKBURN is the pen name for Leah Thaxton, who is Children's Publisher at Faber & Faber, in London, England. Leah began writing at night on the floor of her son's bedroom as she willed him to sleep. This is how 'Dozy Bear and the Secret of Sleep' and 'Where the Wild Moms Are' came to be written. 'Where the Wild Moms Are' has now sold over 150,000 copies and is being optioned for a feature film. Leah's son now sleeps beautifully, most of the time.
