Dr Ben Garrod is Professor of Evolutionary Biology and Science Engagement at the University of East Anglia, UK. He is also an award-winning science broadcaster and conservationist. He has lived and worked across the world, protecting wild chimpanzees in Africa, stalking polar bears in the Arctic and helping dig up the largest dinosaur ever discovered, in South America.
