Tom Struve went to work on the river right out of high school and enjoyed twenty-plus years as a successful towboat captain. Chapter two of Tom’s professional life includes almost three decades specializing in management of high performance service delivery in the public sector. Now moving towards retirement, Tom’s perpetual optimism, unlimited energy and his generous creativity continue to serve him well as a writer. Tom now enjoys 350 sunny days per year in Goodyear, AZ., a west valley suburb of Phoenix. He and Shannon, also a writer, love daily walking, swimming, biking and marvelous mountain camping. Their further passion is mastering flying stunt kites on the beaches of nearby San Diego!
