Dr. Amanda Alzena Sullivan, Ph.D. is a researcher and educator who focuses on the impact of new technologies on young children. Her research explores strategies for breaking gender stereotypes in STEM fields and engaging girls in technology and engineering beginning in early childhood. Amanda received her Master's and Ph.D. in Child Development from the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study & Human Development at Tufts University where she worked with the Developmental Technologies Research Group. She received her Bachelor's degree from Bennington College where she studied Psychology and Drama. Amanda has over a decade of experience teaching early childhood and elementary school STEAM, robotics, coding, engineering, drama, film production, and more. She is happily married to her college sweetheart and a mother to two young children who inspire the work she does in education.
