One of twelve children born in Manhattan to Italian immigrants, and raised in the Astoria / Long Island City section Queens, NYC. Louie "KR.ONE" found his inspirations and earliest influences in the Saturday morning cartoons of his childhood and the classic rock album covers of the 60's and 70's. Gasparro was also heavily influenced by, and took part in, the rolling art of NYC's Subway Graffiti era from 1977-1983. Gasparro's solo art shows "Bringer Of The Kolorstorm" and "A Fistful Of Stars" were both held at the C.A.W.S. Gallery in Long Island City. Both shows were "one night only" events, each attracting over 200 people and each boasting near-complete sell-outs of all the art showcased. The shows gathered high acclaim within the global graffiti / street art scene, as well as mainstream coverage in various newspapers, online, and on television, with spots on CNN and NY1. "Servants Of The Crown, Keepers Of The Sign" was an event showcasing the fusion of two of Gasparro’s passions. Art and Music. A full solo art show culminating with a full musical performance. A true celebration of creativity. Gasparro is also an accomplished and world traveled musician. He has played drums and guitar for legendary NYC bands such as MURPHY's LAW, LORDZ OF BROOKLYN, BLITZSPEER, PSYCHO 69, and his own SUPERVILLAIN, SERVANTS OF THE CROWN- KEEPERS OF THE SIGN STARCHITECT and BLOOD IRON. .Also an author, March 2014 saw the release of Louie's first book "Don 1-The Life and Photos of a NYC Transit Graffiti Master." Within its pages, Louie was able to bring to light the influential works of this innovative, influential artist. Heralded as one of the most highly acclaimed books within the genre. DON 1 MAFIA (Masters Administration For Incredible Artists) was one of Louie's first inspirations and also a native of Astoria / Long Island City which gave even more meaning to Louie as his pursuit of DON 1's story and its historical content. October 2016 saw the release of his second book “KOLORSTORM – The Art Of Louie 'KR.ONE' Gasparro." Over 400 photos of his art from the mid 70's to his current day art. April 2017 saw the succesful opening of "Art An As Answer - New works from within the Kolorstorm" at the Urban Arts Foundation Gallery in NYC. August 2017 Gasparro held his biggest solo gallery show to date. A week long run called "True York" at OneArtSpace in Tribeca, NYC. Stretching the skope of his artistic palette, Louie Gasparro studies acting with actor / producer / director Paul Calderon and has recently worked as an actor on the Marvel Comics hit show "Luke Cage" on Netflix as well as Spike Lee's Netflix show "Shes Gotta Have It Too". Louie has produced and hosted the award winning public access TV show, "Culture Express". Also producing and acting in "Pale Blue Light", a webisode series. Louie has given lectures on creativity at Pratt University, NYU and held a panel discussions at the Queens Museum and The Museum of The City of New York. A true Renaissance man.
