Sir Walter Jones is a Generation X born and raised on the west side of Chicago. Born to dad Lawrence from Jackson Mississippi and Evelyn from Little Rock Arkansas, he's the middle child of 9 children. Seven boys were born back to back from 1961 to 1978 when the Jones family finally got a girl in the house. His mom named him "Ward" after the popular show "Leave It To Beaver", Ward Clever was the TV dad. Feeling a little shame for him, his grandma "Madea" thought it inappropriate that a black man be called Ward, so she had the hospital rename him Walter. Walter was named after her brother, Sgt. Walter York, who was one of only five black chaplains in the Navy and Marines.
Walter became a multi-instrumentalist who is better known for his Saxophone, Piano and Organ playing. He wrote his very first song entitled, "When I'm Alone" in 1983 to his first girlfriend and today he has penned over 2,000 songs. He's now an Entrepreneur, a Radio Host, Podcaster, popular YouTuber, Ordained Minister, Father, and now book Author.
