Wolfram Lacher

Wolfram Lacher is a Senior Associate at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin. His work has been published in Survival, Mediterranean Politics, Foreign Affairs and the Washington Post. He is the author of Libya’s Fragmentation: Structure and Process in Violent Conflict (I.B. Tauris, 2020) and co-editor of Violence and Social Transformation in Libya (Hurst/Oxford University Press, 2023). He studied Arabic and African languages and history, conflict and development studies, and holds a PhD in political science from Humboldt University in Berlin.
