Mark Housel is a Dad, Husband, teacher, author, and business owner. He enjoys being a soccer coach, exercising, reading, and playing with his family. He is a National Teacher Workshop Presenter, Keynote Presenter, and an adjunct professor at Monmouth University in NJ. He was named the 2020 NJ Elementary Teacher of the Year and the 2023 SHAPE America Eastern District Teacher of the Year. He has been a teacher in NJ for the past 25+ years. He has a Bachelor in Health and Physical Education and a Masters in Education.
His first book, Monster Game, was published in March 2020. It is a children’s book about what happens when adults get a little “too into” our children’s sporting events. His second book, Snails, Quails, and Animal Tales, was published in October 2022. The story, written with Randy Meyer, is about acceptance, friendship, and hope.
