Izzy Burton

Izzy is an Illustrator, Director and Artist in Animation and hopefully one day soon an Author. Izzy grew up in the English countryside in a house that backed onto fields and rivers, and spent a lot of her time writing stories and illustrating them - so it's no surprise that that's what she's ended up dedicating her life to. Graduating from Bournemouth University with a First Class degree in Animation in 2015, Izzy worked in house at London animation studio Blue Zoo for four years as a Concept Artist, then Art Director and Director. Now freelance as an Animation Director with Passion Pictures and Troublemakers, and as an illustrator and author repped by The Bright Agency, Izzy juggles animation and publishing work, doing her best to tell stories any way she can. When she does take a moment to pause (which is fairly rare) you'll find her wandering Brighton Beach, telling herself she should read a new book and ending up reading Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier for the millionth time, and/or drinking a cup of Earl Grey tea and concocting elaborate plans on how she can feasibly have a dog in her life. Izzy is the award-winning Director of the short film "Via" and was named one of Animation Magazine's "Rising Stars of Animation 2018".
