Melissa Johnson writes recipes and experiments with sourdough baking techniques for Breadtopia. She holds a BA in social studies from Harvard University, where she focused on cultural studies and media. Through work writing about nutrition, Melissa was inspired to try sourdough baking where she found a passion that combines science and art, and provides endless delicious projects. One of Melissa's sourdough starter experiments, "Challenging Sourdough Starter Convention," was translated into German and featured in Brot Magazin.
