Julia Strait, PhD is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, and Nationally Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Therapist. She works with people who have everyday stress, as well as more pervasive emotional difficulties related to anxiety, depression, and trauma, through collaborative psychological assessment, as well as group and individual therapy.
Dr. Strait earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and her Master’s and PhD from the University of South Carolina. She did her postdoctoral training in Child Welfare and Trauma-Informed Care at the University of Tennessee Center of Excellence for Children in State Custody and has worked as a teacher, professor, researcher, trainer, and supervisor in schools, clinics, and universities across the Southeast United States.
In her free time, Dr. Strait loves listening to podcasts, walking outside, reading psychology books, eating queso, and doing pilates.
