A director of words and a scientist of multiple genres, Hermione Lee is an award-winning author, poet, and cover designer. Her first novel, In the Name of the Otherworld, was released by World Castle Publishing when she was sixteen. She has won the gold medal in the 2023 Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards, the gold medal in the 2022 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, a finalist in the 2023 Next Generation Indie Book Awards, and the bronze medal in the 2023 Florida Authors and Publishers Association (FAPA) President’s Book Awards. Hermione Lee was born and raised in Taiwan, where everyone and everything in her life stimulated her rich imagination and inspired her to write. Although she prefers writing stories in her grandma’s cozy home or Starbucks (with a cup of latte or cherry tea, of course), she writes anytime and anywhere. To her, words are portals that whisk her to whimsical worlds of magic. When Hermione isn’t writing, she indulges herself in epic tales of fantasy, horror, and adventure but mostly dwells in her reverie. She considers herself an eclectic eccentric and an eccentric eclectic. Her works span a wide array of genres—fantasy, paranormal, horror, young adult, middle-grade, mystery, thriller, literary, romance, and poetry, and she aspires to write a book of every genre one day. It is also her dream to be a wealthy recluse when she grows old.
