I am a dedicated mother, Army Veteran, a human rights defender, an active member of Lambda Beta Alpha Military Sorority, Incorporated, and author. I'm passionate about community service and engagement. I have an unstoppable drive to change the public perception of individuals with Down syndrome, in which I advocate on their behalf on a federal, state, and local level. I help plan and engage in events that educate the public and celebrate the fact that they bring tremendous value to the lives of their families, communities, and the world. Another cause close to my heart is the education and treatment of breast cancer. I have a passion for service. I volunteer with Special Olympics Pennsylvania-Capital Area Region as a basketball Skills Coach and Indoor Winter Games Awards Ceremony Volunteer Organizer. Friends of Lebanon Cemetery Volunteers, preserving this historical black cemetery by maintaining the grounds, cleaning and resetting stones. Friendship Community Church, such as the Feed the Children and community yard sales, as a buddy for the annual "A Night to Shine" Prom sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and with various other nonprofits supporting Veterans.
