Denise Melcher

Denise Melcher has worked in the aquarium section of a big pet store in Cologne for 20 years. There, she found and deepened her love for fishkeeping. At home, she has several freshwater aquariums and one saltwater aquarium, and her two sons enjoy helping out. Through taking care of the aquariums together, the children learned early on how to be responsible and that working with living beings can be fun.

At some point, Denise wanted to share her experiences with other children. She thought about how she could pass on her knowledge in a simple and understandable way. The result is her first book, designed to make it easier for kids to get started with fishkeeping. She aims to share her enthusiasm for the underwater world with them.
