Lynne and Jim Weber are retired after successful careers in the tech industry. They have been studying Texas natural history since 1989 and are certified Texas Master Naturalists. In addition to their many environmental volunteer activities including rare bird surveys, guided hikes, invasive plant removal, and native habitat restoration, they have co-authored Nature Watch Austin, Nature Watch Big Bend, Native Host Plants for Texas Butterflies, Native Host Plants for Texas Moths, and Naturalist's Austin. The Webers' writing and photography has appeared in their monthly blog and in several nature periodicals, and they are currently at work on a sixth nature book highlighting nearly 750 species of plants and animals in the Big Bend region of Texas.
