Laura DeSisto

Laura DeSisto got her start writing ad copy after graduating with a degree in English from Boston College. She is now a frequent feature story contributor to magazines and also writes content for websites.

She started scuba diving in mid-life, which set off a whole series of experiences and events she could never have even imagined. This inspired her to finally write her first book, a critically-acclaimed memoir, Resurfacing: sisterhood, sharks and storms.

She loves talking about her experiences and the writing process as a guest on Podcasts and at in-person and virtual book groups.

Laura is the mother of three grown children with her husband and an old but feisty Jack Russell Terrier and a naughty, but adorable French Bulldog. She lives in coastal New England and Vero Beach, Florida. You can connect with her on social media and through her website.
