J. Shankle is a Father, Healer, Therapist, Author, Poet, Self-Proclaim Black Consciousness historian, and Philosopher. His professional identity as a therapist and owner of private therapy practice Inner Self and Wisdom, LLC has been a significant part of his healer’s aura. To walk in purpose of helping individuals, couples, families, and the Black Communities mental health is one of his greatest honors and experiences. He is the author of Soul Searching Poetry, Crowns and Shattered Dreams and Suffer Less: Meditations for Transforming Trauma into Healing. He currently resides in Denver, Colorado.
