The author Bret Meanor was born and raised in the Albany area of New York State. After graduating from Hinsdale High School in New Hampshire, he moved to Kansas where he attended and graduated from Emporia State University. He eventually ended up in Southern California where he attended and graduated from Fuller Seminary. He now lives in Texas where he is a substitute teacher, a preacher and writer. The book "HE WAS BLACKLISTED: A family in the path of the FBI and its secrets." is about his own father Earl Meanor and what they went through as a family because of a Blacklist that should never have occurred.
