I have served as a pastor in the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church for over twenty years. I have served in rural, small town, and suburban settings in both east Tennessee and southwestern England. I am originally from Marion, Virginia. I was educated at Emory & Henry College in Virginia (Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology) and the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta (Master of Divinity). I have also taught courses in Christian faith and church vocations as an adjunct professor in the religion department at Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, Tennessee. My wife Tracy and I have two sons. We currently live in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, where I serve as the senior pastor at Signal Crest United Methodist Church.
