Dr. Baumgart has extensive experience working with sworn and civilian law enforcement personnel in both correctional and agency settings. Her areas of interest include officer resilience, peer support, critical incidents, post-traumatic stress injuries, suicide, and law enforcement retirement. She is married to a now-retired police officer and knows firsthand the challenges that officers and their spouses experience throughout a law enforcement career and into retirement. Dr. Baumgart shares her expertise with law enforcement officers, spouses, and retirees through presentations that are informed by her experience, research, and clinical practice.
