Deborah Lynn Wilhelm

关于作者

Dr Deborah Wilhelm is Adjunct Professor of Preaching and Evangelization at the Aquinas Institute of Theology (where she co-directs the Delaplane Preaching Initiative), and a lecturer in practical theology at Loyola University New Orleans. She is the author, with Bishop Sylvester Ryan, of Preaching Matters, and has authored numerous chapters and articles for scholarly, professional, and general-audience publications, including co-editing the book Preaching Racial Justice, from Orbis Books. She preaches regularly at theWord, a lectionary-based podcast offering daily reflections from the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) and serves as a consultant for the Institute for Homiletics at the University of Dallas. She is an active preacher, professor, and workshop/retreat leader; her interests are eucharistic, ecumenical, environmental, and educational. As a Camaldolese Benedictine oblate, she strives to live as a beginner in all things and to receive those who cross her path as she would receive Christ. Dr. Wilhelm and her husband, Greg, live in the rural West, where the rivers are spectacular, the blackberries delicious, the wine exquisite, and the rain constant. They enjoy the daily parade of local turkeys, the occasional appearance of elk, and especially the visits of their family and friends.
