Meet Kyla Hoak, the creator of Walkie Chalkies. With degrees in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design, Kyla found her passion in the creative aspects of design process. Following the birth of her first child, she discovered a love of children’s books and animation, which led to the creation of the Walkie Chalkies.
Kyla and her husband Dave, have co-written a lot of the stories and songs togethers. The series is Inspired by their two children (5 & 7). Kyla loves incorporating their ideas into the stories, and the kids love seeing them come to life!
Through books and videos the Walkie Chalkies aim to promote imagination, friendship, teamwork, kindness, social skills, emotional development and respect. I believe the Walkie Chalkies can help teach children educational content in a fun, colorful, and engaging way through storytelling. Children and even adults can easily identify with the personalities of the six main characters.
It's Learning and fun all in one!
